    is some brake rub okay?

i went to the shop and a worker told me slight brake rubbing is okay. Do you keep your brake rotors completely true or is it fine to have slight brake rub. I just made the transition from v brakes to disc brakes(bb5) so i never had to deal with this annoyance.

if there is not enough resistance to slow the wheel down then it is fine. Good luck getting the Avid rotors straight, it takes a lot of patience. I am running Avids as well, and the rotors are warped.

The rotors should spin between the pads drag free although the inside pad does run extremely close so if the rotor is bent it will scrape off and on.
