    Sintered pads

Hey, I currently run tecktro comp brakes, not bad but I've been told I can increase their effectiveness by buying sintered pads. I've seen them for sale but are they worth it and what is sintered?

I don't know anything about your specific brakes, but I like both resin and sintered. In my experience sintered is a bit more noisy but seems to work better when wet —modulation is poor but it grips well. Resin is quieter but doesn't last as long as sintered. Unlike other people I don't see much difference in stopping/modulation performance between the two when dry, at least on my brakes (Shimano SLX).
