    Shimano zee rotors

I'm running shimano zee brakes with avid hs1 rotors which are 200mm. The shimano rotors are 203mm, am I screwing myself by not running 203mm rotors? Also my rear mount adapter is 203mm.

And would it be an upgrade going from the hs1 to these?
    Thanks

3mm looks like quite a bit, when your braking surface is like 14mm...

any thoughts on the ice tech rotors vs hs1?

The Ice Tech rotors are better. Nicer metal IMO, and better heat dissipation. I also think they look better but whateves.

As far as the difference in size, no, you won't really notice the diff. Friction is dependant only on the force and the coefficient of friction for the surfaces, the area of contact doesn't really matter as much. That's one reason why the large cutouts in brake rotors don't produce much of a variable braking force.

I don't know whether the shimano rotors are just 3mm larger in diameter with about the same braking track width, or if they also have 1.5mm wider braking tracks. Like I said however, it doesn't matter.
