    Shimano XT Rotor question

I recently put a set of XT brakes and rotors on my bike. I followed the directions installing the rotors. However my rotors(180F/160R) did not come with fixing washers. They did come with tightening plates. Is the missing washer something I should have my LBS look into? Or perhaps are new rotors no longer coming with a fixing washer?

I bought an xt rotor a few weeks ago and it had the fixing washer. The whole thing seems stupid, but I put it on anyway.

I fitted my rotors last spring and they both came with the "fixing washers" so I got curious and had a look at the current parts list:

It appears that the system has been changed. The bolts now appear to have round heads too.
The trouble with having an open mind is that people will insist on trying to put things in it.

I just called Shimano CS and they confirmed they no longer include a fixing washer and its not required, it's just that the instructions haven't been updated yet.
