Shimano XT M785 Brake Leaking from Piston - can this be fixed?

So I decided today I was bleeding my 2012 M785 XT brakes , and it appears that the fluid is pretty much just seeping out of one of the pistons during the 2nd to last step in the instructions. Guessing the seal behind there is busted or unseated. Have no clue how it just decided to blow out during a simple brake bleed. I even had the yellow bleed block and funnel following Shimano's instructions.

I hope this brake caliper is repairable, anyone know of how to fix this?

As its un-useable anyway, you could try dismantling it yourself to see if its just a bit of grit or an unseated seal. Not that difficult to take them apart, clean, and re-assemble. Trouble is you can't buy new seals. Have a look at this thread to give you some inspiration - Ever wondered how a hydraulic brake calliper works?

I have sent it in to be fixed by Shimano under warranty. Should have it back this week, hopefully.

Cool, thanks for that link. Interesting.

Ah, didn't realise it was still under warranty. Sending it back is the sensible thing to do then rather than having a go yourself.
