Very new to disc brakes and have an issue I've been working on. I needed to switch rear wheels and went from a Shimano rotor to a Magura rotor (same "size" at 160). The caliper is BR-M775. Now I can't get the pads not too rub -- I've previously successfully adjusted a caliper to center it on the rotor by loosening the post bolts, engaging the brake, tightening things up, etc. I pulled the pads and pushed on the pistons gently (they seemed all the way retracted anyway) and put it back together and it still rubs -- just seems as if the rotor is too thick for the pads. Is this just an incompatible combination? Do I need to get a different rotor? Any thing else I can try that doesn't involve a purchase?
