I've recently done the C2C and the bikes took a bit of a hammering. On the last day I blasted through a full set of pads on the back brake and into the metal, the rotor's probably done for. I've since stripped down the entire bike to try and fix all the woes and for the most part succeeded however this back brake isn't playing ball!!! The piston on one side will only push back in part way, meaning with that new pads on the rotor wont fit between!! I've cleaned up the calliper as best I can and tried leveraging an allen key in to push out but without using 'exessive force' I cannot get piston back fully, the brakes are Shimano M445's.
I was thinking of bleeding/draining the system (never done it before, but how hard can it be) and then giving it a bit more of a wiggle... Does this seem like a sensible approach? Can anyone recommend a better approach to fixing this problem?
