I'm still running Deore 525s and they work pretty good. Been thinking of upgrading to Juicy 7s or Magura Louise FRs, but the Deores work so good, hate to trade them for trouble.
Want to ride in this life and the next? Ask me how.

    525 Deore

I like my Deore 525's, but don't have any real experience on anything else. On the extended downhill runs, they do tend to fade. But, I upgraded to 185mm rotors front and rear and that helps a lot. I'm a 210lbs (220-225 w/ gear) agressive XC guy that likes to ride in Pisgah (NC). I beat the crap outta these brakes and put them thru nasty conditions (creek crossings, mud baths, bouncing off of rocks, etc). They have been maintenance free for 2 years and I just re-bled them just because I wanted to. They're cheap and they work!

I run Deore M555's on my Stumpy and they perform decently.

    No complaints mate!
