    Shimano Deore Disc Brakes

Can anyone recommend a good sintered metal disc brake bad for Shimano Deore M596 brakes? Are these brake compatible with sintered metal or do they get too hot? This is for my wife's bike so she will be braking a lot. Should I stay with resin pads?? They seem to wear out so quick.

Hmm, which rotors is she using? Some rotors are not compatible with metallic pads (It should say resin pad only or something like that on the rotors). The brakes themselves are very much compatible with metallic pads but like I said first check the rotors for compatibility.

You want Shimano M06 Metallic pads. They may be in packages labeled for XTR. They are the same shape as the A01S Resin pads.

The cheap Shimano rotors say Resin pads only so if yours says that, maybe just keep buying resin pads until this rotor wears out...the resin pads should be cheaper.
