Shimano Caliper and 6 bolt rotor

So I am considering getting new brakes for my bike. I currently have brakes that have a 6 bolt rotor, post mount adapter (front) and IS mount (rear). My question is: can I use a Shimano disc brake system, knowing it is centerlock, with my existing 6 bolt hubs? Thanks for the help!

Shimano sells both centerloc and 6 bolt rotors, and their brakes are usually sold without rotors because of this

same issue here, I have 180 and 160mm hope 6 bolt rotors and wonder if they will work with the shimano calipers or do i have to get shimano specific rotors?
Just ride down there and jump off something for crying out loud...

center lock is how the rotors attach to the hub. any other brake system will work as long as the rotor is compatible (size wise)
In other words the brake system is not center lock only the rotors and unless your hubs take center lock then its a non issue. As mentioned Shimano also still makes 6 bolt
