    Scrub Brake Pads?

I got a few pairs of the Scrub brake pads this summer. So far only installed on my XTR 970 brakes (160mm).

I'm not super happy with them. They make the already very strong XTR brakes too strong I think. I can't really feather the brakes like I want to. They grab very easily. I wonder if it is just a bad combo. I got some for my Avid Juicys (which I love) and I need to see if I get the same effect.

    Anyone else?

I bought Scrub organic pads for steel rotors earlier in the summer and not pleased with them at all. I am runny Juicy 5's and the new pads took forever to break in. Actually, it took a full day of riding in very wet conditions for them to break in after a month of dry riding with them. I would rather have too much braking power than hardly any at all.

Interesting. I'm going to give them a little more time but overall I'm on the fence with these pads still.

Hard to beat the stock XTR pads.

2012 update. I've got the scrub brake pads on two bikes now. I would not recommend these pads to anyone.
99% of the problems and questions posted here would be answered if people actually walked into a bicycle shop and asked
