    Sanding v-brake pads?

Is there a way to bring back a bit more power to used vbrake pads? Such as sanding them or maybe something else?

Yes i know, ideally you would just get a new set of pads, but i'm asking this for my other bike that i don't really use, this bike is mainly so that i can take friends without a bike to ride with me, so i rather a costless solution if any.

    Thanks.

sand the glaze off the pads, clean the rim sidewalls, and make sure the cables are running smoothly

Thanks. I did this and there was a noticeable improvement.
