    Saints m820 pads in Hope M4/Shimano M755?

Read on SingleTrack that XT M755 pads will work in Saint M810 calipers if you cut off the tabs on the ends.
Then a post on here says you can use M810 (previous gen Saints) pads in M820(new Saints) calipers.
M755 and Hope M4 uses the sames pads.
With that said, M820 pads should work in M4 and M755 calipers.

Any reason why that wouldn't work and why that wouldn't be a good idea?
You could rig up IceTech on Hopes or prolong the useful life of the old M755 brakes (which is what I have).

Shimano Docs list the following brake/pad combos.

    BR-M810: Y8FF98010 (non finned) & Y8FF98020 (non finned)
    BR-M820: Y8VT98010 (finned) & Y8VT98020 (finned)
    BR-M640: Y8FF98010 (non finned), Y8FF98020 (non finned) & Y8VT98020 (finned)

If the 810 uses the same pads as the 640 which also uses a same pad as the 820, I see no reason why the 810 pads wouldn't fit in the 820 too.

No idea about the other combos you mentioned.

Should've mentioned that I want to use the finned m820 pads in to m755 caliper and if people with Hope M4 could also use m820 pads.

I would like to know that too (if they will work with Hope M4)
