    Rotors for Avid Mech.?

Anyone using different rotors with Avids. I need new rotors and was thinking of going with a wave design to help with heat. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

I assume your running fairly current mechanicals, because i think the 2001 Avid mechanicals were using a 165mm rotor...

Anyway, i've had really good luck with the Galfer line of brake components, and i've even used the wavy galfer rotor's mixed with Avid mechanical calipers...with great success.

Just about anything you find in the correct diameter should work. I've been running 2.0mm thick Rohloff rotors on three bikes, and a set of custom Hope wavy on another.
