removing front wheel is brake caliber OK?

Juicy 5 and Shimano SLX hydro brakes - if I remove the front wheel for transporting the bike do I need to put something in place of the brake rotor for transportation or are the brake calibers ok?

Someone told me it was necessary to put something in place of the front rotor or pieces will fall out of the caliber.

    Thanks!

nothing should fall out but its a good idea to put a shim of some sort between the pads because if something bumps the brake lever you will have to pry the pads apart to get the wheel/rotor back on

I never do and mine never fall out. Should be even less likely w/ Shimano since pads are attached with a solid pin. Good job spelling brake right, it's caliper though.
