    Rear Rotor wear?

Has anyone else notice their rear brake rotors wearing faster and more unevenly than the front rotor?

More specifically every rear brake rotor I've used has worn more in the center of the brake track than the edges. While my front brake rotors have worn flat.

This is on two different bikes and two different brake systems.

Being new to hydraulic brakes (on my 2011 Giant Trance X3), I may run into that situation. Hopefully someone else has more input on the matter.

The rear brake is more likely to be contaminated by mud and grit thrown up from the tires than the front brake. These things will contribute greatly to wear. Although, that may or may not account for what you're seeing. It's just what comes to mind.

^^^ This is what I was going to speculate.
I can barely get my mouth around it.
