New question here. Rear Brake rub when not pedaling

I recently installed a pair of Avid Elixer CR brakes on my hardtail. I have put about 80 miles on the bike since then. I really am liking the brakes but am having an issue with rubbing/noise from the pads rubbing on the rear rotor everytime I let off the gas and stop pedaling. I don't hear or feel any rubbing when the bike is on the stand or when pedaling. Could the wheel or skewer be shifting position slightly under power? Any other possibilities?

    Thx!

Check your QR and be sure that the wheel is not slipping. If no then check rotor alignment... some times it is just ever so slightly off. Check the spring that separates the pads... make sure it still has tension... it may not be retracting and letting some slop happen.

    Thx wyrm,

I will try swapping out the QR and removing, cleaning, then re-installing the rotor. Not sure how to determine if I have a bad caliper spring.
