    Reach adjustment

G'day. After reading the instructions to bleed Avid Juicy brakes I am confused with one step. That is the reach adjustment. I am aware that this is the 2mm hex screw and will determine the distance between the handlebar and the brake lever. The instructions say to make sure the screw is not too far out that the brake lever bottoms out on the lever body. My question is: What is "too far out"? Do I turn this screw clockwise or anti-clockwise in preparation for bleeding? Cheers.

I have found a bleed procedure for the Elixirs but the same applies to Juicy models. Check step 7 on pag.25, it says:

"For models equipped with Reach Adjust, make sure the tip
of the lever blade is 75-80 mm from the centerline of the
    handlebar...."
