    Problem Solvers hydraulic line guides

I'll be running mechanical discs with full length cable housings soon and I need to know if these hydraulic guides will work with standard brake housings. Do they fit pretty snug?

My hydraulic lines are pretty loose in them. I'll bet that they won't hold regular cables. I have squeezed them together a bit with pliers. Don't know how much they can be closed and not crack.

I also think the guides would be way too large. When I was running mechanicals, I just kept them in the normal place for V brakes. Is there any particular reason for using full length housing?
