Possible to run 08 Sid Team w/185mm disc?

    Hey, all.

Just bought a new 08 Sid Team fork, and am running Avid Elixir CRs with a 185mm on the front. The Sid Team uses a post mount, so I figured I'd just have to lose the adapter and bolt it right up, but the caliper cannot get close enough to bolt on due to the disk size. Is there an adapter I can pick up, or do I have to go to 160mm to run this fork? It wouldn't kill me to run a 160, I just prefer the 185mm. Thanks for any suggestions.

Grab the appropriate adapter. Lots of places/bike shops have them.

The SID can run a max of 185mm rotor, but PM calipers are all intended to be used adapterless with 160mm rotor. You need an Avid 00.5315.012.020 185mm front 74mm post mount adapter to mount the 185mm rotor and caliper.
