    PM to IS

Right, so I got a new fork with fancy PM mounts which is when I realise that my trusty old Marta SLs have IS calipers, oups. Both are for 160 mm disc front and rear. So am I right in assuming that I can only convert the front from PM to IS by going with a 180 mm rotor? I would hate to do that as my other bike and my wheelsets are set up for 160/160..

umm, I wouldn't know for sure without looking at your brakes, but you should just be able to get rid of the IS adapter, and voila! postmount caliper for 160mm disc.

Not all brakes use adapters... His Martas are most likely direct mount IS calipers.

You will have to upsize the rotors.
