New question here. Pads dragging on Juicy 5

    Hey cats and kittens....

One of the calipers on my Juicy 5 set is draggin on the rotor and I would like to know if there is anyway to adjust it without bleeding the brakes. I did somthing dumb and squeezed the lever while the wheel was off the bike. Since then, the pads having been dragging on the rotor, creating quite a bit of resistance. I've tried pushing the pistons back in with a flathead screwdriver, but they ain't budging. Any ideas?

You should be able to push the piston back in with a screw driver. I have found with my Juicy 7's it is easier to do this if you remove the pads.

You may have to recenter the caliper using the CPS mounting bolts. It seems I have to do this every so often with my Juicy's.

The Juicy's are pretty easy to bleed though.

    Maintenance free, huh?

Yeah, I did remove the pads while trying to push the pistons back in, even rocked the tool back and forth while it was wedged between the two. Nada.

Also loosened the mounting bolts, but both pads are grabbing the rotor already. Sounds like it's bleed time. I've heard it's not too bad, just fear of the unknown I guess. Just moved from southern Arizona in '03 to Virginia. Discs are little more important out here in the muck.

    Anyone else? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
