    Pad wearing in

Big noob question, just had my pads replaced as the first set were contaminated, just wanted to know if there was any preferable way to wear the pads in?

Well, first make sure someone cleaned the rotors off. If the old pads were contaminated, there's likely some contamination on the rotors as well.

There's a process that's well known and published for what you're talking about - it's called seating the pads. It involves getting on flat ground, going moderately fast, and using one (not both) brake to slow to nearly a stop, but don't actually stop. Do this five times. Then speed up a little more, and do it five more times. Then to the same thing with the OTHER brake. When you're done, you should be good to go.
