opinions on 6" front 8" rear
Wanted to get some opinions on this. I'm running XT quad piston with 6" front and rear. I've got a QR front fork and don't really want to put 8" up front. So, I was thinking if it's worthwhile to upgrade just the rear to an 8".
Will it be a noticeable/useful difference?
Thanks in advance.

It'll work fine.
But it goes against the grain of conventional wisdom.
Most of the effective braking is done up front where the bike first contacts the ground.
I run 180 front & 160 rear and still find that I can lock up the rear at times more easily than I'd like.

questionable...
Adding weight without raising performance level, + what The Squeaky Wheel said; just no need. 75% of braking power come from your front brake.

Yup, makes sense. Thanks for the feedback.
