    One Resin, One Metal pad in XTR's??????

    One Resin, One Metal pad in XTR's?????? Why would I want to do this? Why would I not want to do this?

    Yep, I used one of each pad per caliper when I was using my XTR/XTs this time last year....worked great and I never had any issues! You get the benefits of both pad compounds in one caliper. Plus, by mixing them up, you actually get an extra set of pads.

    One resin, one metal pad in each caliper. You need to be careful with wheel insertion using the resin pads, though. I trashed one by forcing the rear wheel in without being perfectly aligned. The outer edge of the rotor can tear up resin pads.
