Newbie Front Hydraulic Brake Install Problem

    Howdy folks,

Got a used set of Elixir 5 to get into the hydraulic brake line

Here is a little problem, my rear fork installed just fine onto the frame with a mounting bracket. My Front fork does have a disc brake mount, but when I tried to screw the front brake caliper onto the fork, the rotor stuck into the caliper all the way in and stuck there, and i can't even tighten the mounting screws all the way into the fork(see photo)

The rotor is a standard 160mm. The fork is an old 2000 Manitou Magnum. The Disc boss is about 30mm (from center of the fork leg to the top of the boss.)

Do I need an adapter of some sort? Do I need a smaller rotor for this fork? The seller said I don't need any kind of adapter and the brake should fit my fork...

    thanks for your help

you got duped by the seller when he said you dont need anything else to install properly.

you'll need avid's CPS mounting washers to install those properly.
