New XTR Dual Control Levers ST-M966

Anybody notice that Shimano has updated the ST-M965 levers to the new ST-M966?

    From the the Shimano FAQs:
The new ST-M966 Dual Control levers now use a resin thumb release lever and a more ergonomic shift/brake lever shape.

    more info here...Shimano ST-M966

I wonder what they mean by "a more ergonomic shift/brake lever shape".

I noticed that. I've tried comparing the two to see whats different and all I can barely see is the 966 has a very slightly different lever shape. Almost impossible to differentiate. It kind of looks like the new one sweeps back slightly more on the curved section and the front profile at the straight part of the blade is not quite as wide as before but its very difficult to tell with the pictures.
