new xt m785b brake lever clicks

The levers on my m785 brakes make a clicking noise when I pull them to about parallel with the bar which is when they firm up. It seems to happen both as I pull it toward the bar and as I release pressure at this same point. This is my first set of hydro brakes so I wanted to see if this is normal? Is this the servo wave making the noise? Oh, and I have not had a chance to ride with them. Thanks.

It night be the cam moving in the lever assembly. If the brakes are working as they should then it should be ok.

Yeah, that's the Servo Wave Mechanism. When mine were new, they made a clicking sounds, sort of like a magnet on a fridge. After a summer of use, they don't make that sound anymore, but the lever still has that pop feel at that midpoint. You get used to it.
