    New hoses

Right this may sound stupid but im unsure

I want to fit a new hose so i can thread it through my star nut
I have hayes hfx-9's and is this the right way to do this?

Do i take the old hose off and fit the new one and then pump some of the correct fluid into the caliper with the bleed kit hayes sell? is there anything else i need to do?

    Thanks

You don't really need the Hayes bleed kit. It's nice to have the little MC fitting provided, but not neccesary (tends to be a bit messier without it). I prefer to use a syringe and some clear plastic tubing. The results seem to be better than with the squeeze bottle.

Replace the hose and fittings. Fill the system, and bleed it.

Yes. Lots of park/DJ riders do this. It let's you do barspins and tailwhips to your heart's content.

Make sure you've got the right star fangled nut, compresson bolt/cap though. Or just bunch it out, Use a Headlock to preload everything, pull it out, and then pull the line through.
