New Frame - Front Hose Is 10 mm Short

Bah, new frame and transferring my parts over only to discover that my front brake line is to short by about 10 mm.

Are there any kits out there just to cut the line and add an extension to it? I am using Sram XX brakes.

I found this: Universal Cycles -- Avid Hose Kits but would prefer to not spend $40 on what looks like a single line.

Or who sells the nice looking braided hoses? If I have no choice but to spend yet more money then I might as well get some nice looking ones.

Do you possible have headset spacers that you can remove to lower the bars or possibly a lower rise or shorter stem?

    Just some thoughts.
How can anyone who's been riding as long as I have, be so slow???

You're thinking Goodridge. They're much more than just nicer looking as the stainless steel mesh casing reduces and hose flexing and makes for more powerful braking.

At least thats how they work in cars, not sure what kind of line pressure mtb hydros run at and whether they're similarly affected.

I ended up finding a cheaper price for the hose I linked to so I just ordered that for now.

No spacers to remove, its already as low as it can go.

    Thanks for the advice.
