new 07 juicy 7s - pad adjustment knob question

When I turn the pad adjustment knob in the "in" direction it causes the levers to get closer to the handlebar - is this normal? I thought "in" meant that the pads get closer to the rotor so that the lever will be farther from the handlebar. Anybody can clear up my confusion? Thanks.

The knob DOES NOT AFFECT THE PAD POSITION. The knob only changes the throw/engagement point of the lever. Yes, in means it's closer to the bar.

All right but why do they call it a pad adjustment knob if it does'nt adjust the pad? Should be called a lever adjustment knob.

This is an adjustment is always had, in the form of that small clevis screw that was by the lever.

No, that's called a reach adjustment. The red knob does not affect the reach, it changes the throw.

Even if you had and didn't like the brakes, you should at least know that.

Ugh, I'm sorry, now you're misreading to spin things. But thank you anyhow.

    I apologize if I misread.

Jerk_Chicken, I think we may have gotten off on the wrong foot (several times). Sooo... I'm going to say I'm sorry and hope that we can start anew.

    I'm sorry.

Fine with me. Saves me from flagging all of your posts intentionally looking to start a board fight.

    Wow Sorry

I just got the brakes and put them on. I haven't even had a chance to ride them yet.
Sorry for my dumb question but I really thought the know controlled the position of the pads relative to the rotor.

Are you saying that you're flagging my posts to look for a fight? Or you're flagging my posts that sound like I'm trying to start a fight?

If the latter, I'm pretty sure the majority of my posts are not looking to start a fight.
