Need some help with adapters and 7" disks

I currently have XT calipers on an IS fork. I have an older Hope 185mm disk (measured). I'd like to upgrade my 6" disk on my trail bike.

The problem is that I'm finding adapters that are 180 and 185mm. Are they different?

Magura's QM12 says 180mm rotor to IS front.

    Avid's CPS says 185mm front.

I know that I have a wacky English brand and using a wacky German brand's adapter may not be a beacon of clarity, but I'd like to make sure I order the right thing.

Yes there is a difference between those two sizes and if you looked a bit harder you'd also find there's a 183mm adapter.
The size of the adapter relates to the size of the rotor, if you have a 185mm rotor then you'll need a 185mm adapter.
The Avid 185mm adapter is what you need, don't worry about having a different brands of calliper and rotor.
