    Need pads for BB-5's!

I need front and rear pads for my BB-5's. The stock pads have squealed since shortly after I got my bike and despite several attempts by the lbs they still squeal. I give up. I have heard others have had luck with aftermarket pads. Care to recommend some?

If you ride in the dry and mostly XC trails, you can try an organic pad compound. They are quiet but fade quicker on long descents and wear quicker (especially in the wet). Alligator makes them and they're cheap...under $10 a pair.

Alligator also makes Semi-Metallic pads for BB5's

Price Point has them...$7 a piece for the organic pads

I'm using the Alligator Organic pads on my Juicy 5's and they are dead silent. Just make sure and thoroughly clean your rotors and I even scuff them a bit with a Scotch-Brite scouring pad to help bed the pads.

They do have less power (though a tad more modulation) but for dry XC riding...they're nice. Once the weather gets wet, I'll getting a set of ceramic pads.

Silly question but I've never bought pads before.. If I select qty "1" on their website do I get 1 pad or 1 set (2 pads)?
