Need help to set up rear IS XTR brake caliper (160mm rotor) to a post mount
I have a XTR rear break that is IS mount. Frame has post mount set up to receive the caliper. TXS! Where do I start?
Is it the latest XTR model? It should install without any adapters needed.
Shimano Mount Adapter for Rear Post Mount on the Bike Frame to an IS Caliper
Latest model XTR's don't come with IS mounts.

To use a 160mm rotor you'll need a 'short arm' front 160mm/rear 140mm caliper
The minimum rotor size you can use with the 'long arm' front 180mm/rear 160mm caliper is 180mm
The following 160mm adapter would be needed to use a 160mm rotor with the 'short arm' caliper and to use a 180mm rotor with the 'long arm' caliper.
The caliper on the left is the 'long arm' front 180mm/rear 160mm
The caliper on the right is the 'short arm' front 160mm/rear140mm

Nope! I guess it is a 2-3 year old XTR. It is a IS mount. Bolts go in sideways to the bike. Horizontal to the ground.
I need something to adapt IS to post mount.
