Hi all, I need some help please.
I have a set of 2008 Magura Marta SL's.
I purchased them new last year, and last weekend I noticed the rear brake needed a bleed.
No problem, I've done the front just fine.
So, After following both directions from the bleed kit and their online tutorial, I ran into a major issue. Oil started leaking from the rear caliper. So, I got ahold of Magura, and they sent me to the nearest "Licensed Magura Dealer." I showed the head shop mech the caliper, and he called his Magura rep. No problem, they're going to send me a brand new caliper and some more oil. Sweet
It came in today! So, I rush home and open up the box.....
They sent me an 09 post mount Caliper.
Here's my issue. I now need a new rear adapter, as the 09s Calipers all come post mount.
Also, my fairly new brake pads from my 08 set won't work in the 09s, so I now also need new pads.
I called the shop back, and he pretty much directed me to Pricepoint.com for both adapters and pads, advising me that's the "cheapest I'll find them online."
Another thought.....since the 09 Marta SL's are redesigned with a larger master cylinder and caliper.....will my 08 Lever's work correctly with the new rear?
What would you guys do? Is there a Magura rep here who I could speak with?
Thanks for your time,
