    need front brakes

Just got a used phat cycles sea breeze with coaster brake. Its a great bike for 90 bucks used but I need some front brakes since the coaster is kinda soft. Any recommendations? It can only do single pivot cantilever brake.

I think you can get the coaster brake serviced and adjusted to give you a little more bite. As for single-pivot canti's . . . I got nuthin' Sorry.

So, you've got a hole in the crown of the fork to mount a brake? I'd go with pretty much an BMX single pivot brake/side pull brake like the good old bulldog or current tektro 984.
You've got to see how much "reach" there is between the mounting hole & rim (braking surface). The tektro has something like 70-90mm reach. for other examples see Brakes for Bicycles from Harris Cyclery
