    moinvg to disc brakes [avid bb7 brake mount adapter]

    HI,

    Hows it going. im the owner of a very nice cannondale f 400 frame and I have decided to make the move to discs. Before I do I am just wondering if the following Brake mount adapter might fit on the rear of my old style frame.
    I have a set of avid bb7's and would like to put them on. Also I have the roter and wheel set up sussed. be nice to get this working so If the following does not work any ideas would be appreciated.

    I doubt if that adapter would work on your frame. The seat stay on your frame is attached to the dropout a lot further back than the bikes in the photos with this adapter attached, I'd say that the seat stay position on your dropout would probably interfere with attachment of this adapter.
    Might be easier to leave the rear wheel as a v-brake and put a disc on the front like this bike's set up:
