    metal vs. resin replacement pads

I'll be needing replacement brake pads for my Shimano Deore-555 hydraulic disc brakes. Should I get the resin pads or the metallic ones? What's the difference?

All metallic is probably best for when riding in sloppy wet and mucky conditions.

All resin for all dry conditions.

One of each for best modulation. I use that combination with my XTRs and they are fine. I assume its the same rule of thumb for the Deores, since they are pritty much the same thing.
