    Marta Rotors w/ Avid Brakes

Would Magura Marta (Wave) Rotors work with Avid Juicy Ultimate brakes or even Formula The One's? Has anyone tried it?

magura rotors are 2.0 mm vs 1.5-1.7 for others. That may be an issue, but pricepoint is selling the magura rotors for like $23 right now. So, if it doesnt work out, you arent out much.

    RARE Avid Rotors!

Avid made wavy rotors too, and they looked exactly like Marta SL. Elguapogrande on eBay sells them. They each weigh 100 grams and I paid only $30 for the pair, and they work BETTER than the Avid Cleansweep G2/G3 rotors. Too bad Avid no longer makes them, because GalferUSA(edit) tried to sue Avid over copyright infringement.

The wavy rotor is actually a Galfer international patent.

Does that mean it's actually a Magura patent made by Avid?

Formula rotors are the same thickness as the Marta SL (Galfer) wave rotors. I'm running the Marta SL rotors with Oro's. Most silent rotors I've ever run, even when wet after a couple revs. And they add a little more power over the stock rotors. They are wearing very long and evenly without any concave. I expect these will get over twice the wear of Hayes and more than Avid rotors.
