    Magura Marta Brake Drag

    I am still new to the world of hydros- but just when I have my front brake pefectly dialed-in(zero rotor contact)....I have to re-shim the front caliper every single time I remove the front wheel. This frustrates me to no end. I even use the yellow transport device, included with the brakes, and I still have to re-shim the IS mount caliper. Why is this? Is it the wheel skewer tension? I cannot figure it out. My front wheel needs to be removed to haul my bike to trails, on my truck bed. What affects the rotor's changing position? I am going nutz here. The brakes are 2007 Marta SL.     If the brakes are new, some rotor rubbing is normal. Magura brakes take awhile for the pads to not rub the rotor. It should get less and less over time.

    However, if it's excessive and really interfering with the wheel spinning, then the caliper needs to be centered.

    Also, try flipping your skewer so that the lever is on the non-drive side.

    1: you could try loosening the caliper mount bolts just enough so your brake can move slightly.
    2: then zip tie your brake lever to your bar grip as tight as poss
    3: then re-tighten the caliper bolts - centred on your rotor.

    ..that's what i ended up doing this morning for the mrs 08 Marta SL front brake.
