I love my M785 XT brakes except for one thing: the pads clicking. I am using the finned pads. When I ride through rough areas the pads make a clicking sound or rattle even when the brakes are applied. I can duplicate the sound by holding the brakes and bouncing the bike. The pads seem to be rattling on the post that secures them to the caliper. I changed pads but still have the same noise. I tried the inner tube trick which puts a narrow piece of rubber around the fins to try to keep the pads from moving around. This helped a bit but I would prefer a silent bike. Does anyone have a real solution or do I just need to sing louder?
