Listing of - by mfg top to bottom??

I've looked on here some, but not finding.

Is there a listing that shows, by manufacture, from their "top of the line" to their "basement" lineup ?? Looking for something like
    SRam - xx
    Xx
    Xx
    Shimano - xx
    Xx

You get the idea, maybe even an idea for a sticky in this group?

    $$$$$$$ > $$$$$$ > $$$$$ > $$$$ > $$$ > $$ > $

    Better brakes cost more money.

Some brakes are made for specific types of riding and don't belong in a lineup with other brake models.

Not quite sure I get what you are getting at, but cobba pretty much hit it on the head. The more expensive it is, the more better all-round the brake (generally).

Other than that, Shimano runs XTR > XT > SLX > Deore > Alivio > Non-series. Sram makes it easy: XX > X0 > X9 > X7 > X5, etc. The Elixir brakes follow the same pattern, for the most part.

Then you have quad (or more)-piston trail/downhill brakes, Magura's hydraulic rim brakes, mechanical discs...

It may be easier to describe what exactly you are looking for, and how much you want to spend.
