    Juicy 7 lever problems

I have had Avid Juicy 7 brakes on my Santa Cruz Blur since it was new, September 2005. They are noisy brakes but work well. Recently the bike took a tumble and the housing at the left lever got deflected at about 90 degrees. Yesterday, on a ride, I noticed that the left lever was slack - it wouldn't return after being squeezed. It felt like it had play before it began to compress the cylinder.

Bad lever? Air in the housing? Something else?

If the hose got kinked, inspect for leaks. If there are no apparent leaks, try a bleed first.

Thanks, will do. Don't see any evidence of leaking.
