Juicy 5 - Upgraded to 185 rotor in front

I am riding an F29 with Juicy 5's mounted to a lefty and a set of I9's and somehow managed to warp my front rotor(160mm). I thought since I was riding 29's, it may be a good idea to upgrade my front rotor to a 185, to get a little more modulation on braking.

To my surprise (only shop testing so far), the front brake seemed to have less stopping power after the upgrade than before. Is this just temporary? Or does it need to be broken it before achieving full stopping power?

Or was this just a bad idea?

Pad material needs to be bedded to the rotor.

    Exactly right

I took the bike around the neighborhood today and rode the brakes pretty good. They seem to be a lot easier to engage and stop with less effort.
