    Incredibly squeaky front brake...annoying!

Fans of the 29, I have a problem and given yer responces to others, I hope ye have a solution.

So, I put a set of Avid Elixer Carbons w/ 185mm rotors on my ride (Hammer 29 frame, Fox RL 32 fork, Stans flows w/ hope II hubs, etc). Anyway, my front bake is ear piercingly squeaky on long down hills...I try to adjust the calipers, etc but nothing seems to work. It seems to be an incredibly tight fit, as in the wheel does not spin freely for more than 5 rotations (off the ground)...thoughts?

As much as I like my LBS, I'd rather fix this myself, stupid ego...

    Thanks and cheers!

It could be a sticky piston (not fully retracting, thereby reducing pad clearance) or after market pads that are thicker than originally specced.
