    Ice tec

The new Shimano XTR rotors either have interesting technology or interesting marketing.

    Does anyone know which?

They seem to be implying that the braking track is an steel aluminium laminate.
So the braking track is aluminium, but steel covered.

I am not sure if they are refering to the aluminium carrier, or the middle of the braking track.

The marketing is vague on this.

If it is just the carrier, that is nothing new.

But if the braking track is a laminate that is cunning.

Any one know anything on this?
Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?

The braking track is a sandwich. SS that covers aluminium. They are not talking about the carrier.

Check out my SportTracks plugins for some training aid software.
