I cannot get a good bleed on my 2012 Shimanos

I CANNOT get a good bleed on my 2012 SLX rear brake.

I've followed the instructions to the letter many, many times and I'm getting nowhere.

When the lever's pulled a few times in quick succession (as you would on a descent), it noticeably firms up and lever travel decreases. They don't feel particularly spongy to begin with.

This doesn't get worse over time, so I don't think there's a leak anywhere.

    What's going on? Help!

There's still air in the system. There is a thread in which I give a couple of tips that help get them better. Basically try to create a vacuum at the lever to get some bubbles out.

After bleeding, try inverting the bike for a few minutes before flipping back upright and bleeding again. Inverting the bike can allow trapped air to migrate to different parts of the system - hopefully to a spot where it's more easily removed.

    Good luck,
I can barely get my mouth around it.

Could you point me at that thread? I can't find it.

I've had a vacuum on the cailper, which helped a bit. I'll try the lever as well.

Cheers. I'll try flipping it over too.
