    Hydraulic hose issues

I recently had the bike shop replace my rear hose as it had a kink in it and they cut it to long by about 3 to 4 inches. So now the hose going from the lever to the first hose holder on the frame is way long. It swings out in front of the bike's other cables by more than a few inches. I haven't got the $$ to fix right now. Should I be worried about it or just go ride?

Which brakes do you have? Why don't you own the equipment for bleeding them?

They are Hayes brakes. I don't have the equipment to bleed them because I have no interest in bleeding them. If it's like a car - no thanks. Too messy.

Hydraulic lines that are too long don't pose any problem other than possibly getting caught on something on the trail. Aesthetically, I'd want it to be the proper length, and given that you paid to have it installed, you wouldn't be too out of line to ask the shop to shorten it to the proper length.
