New question here. How to properly remove and install hydraulic line clips?

Knowing myself I will scratch my beautiful Kona frame all to hell fighting with these things so before I get a screwdriver and channel locks could someone please show me how to do this correctly?

A propane torch will do wonders i'm unsure if a proper tool is made for removal of these lill rascals however a smallish flat bladed screwdriver works wonders for me.

Press down with opposite hand/finger on the c-clip and slide the screwdriver in along the side and gently twist it until the clip pops out then rotate it over to remove the opposite side.

Will give it a shot. Maybe even put some tape on the screwdriver.

    Thanks! ;-)

Get the first scratch out of the way. Then the rest won't feel as bad.

Kidding aside, I use a small flat bladed screw driver. If your careful, you won't scratch anything.

Why can't you just cut them and replace with zip ties?
Alcohol may lead nowhere, but it sure is the scenic route!

that would be the easiest however the C-clips are an OEM piece many mauf use and far more aesthetically appealing than a zippity do dah.
