    How much noise is ok?

I have Hayes Carbons on my Gary Fisher HiFi Deluxe, they got installed and are great. But sometimes there is a high pitch squeel from the front one. I took off the wheel cleaned the rotors with alcohol and then sanded down the new pads again. The brakes havent really been broken in yet. Is this normal, will it go away>

The perpetual question in the forum...you are the best judge on how well changes work in the long run. Give your gear a chance to wear in, make sure it's adjusted/aligned well. You can try changing things out, but I'd stay to re-adjustments and not cleaning the rotor or sanding pads unless there's been contamination. Under what specific circumstances do you get noise? Dusty? Wet? You try organic vs metallic pads? No f*ckng good reason at all?

Does the high pitch squeal happen when you apply the brakes?
Or does it just happen from time to time?
